Heavy Duty Stretchers to Prevent Your Art Frames From Bending

There are warehouses where you can order stretcher bars at super prices with the highest quality tags. You’ll get discounts for the bars that are made out of fir or pine wood that is kiln dried and that has been manufactured to the highest standards. Coast to coast shipping is accomplished at dizzying speeds. The selection of bars is also of exceptional standards and you can select out of five styles. There is a very wide range in lengths too. The products come in medium or standard duty, light duty and medium duty besides the heavy duty stretcher. There are super heavy duty stretcher bars as well.

The selection of heavy duty stretcher comes in three styles. The first is the medium/heavy duty. These are 1 3/16″ ” deep X 1 3/16″ wide. It’s a compromise in that you get some of the strength without going for thick frames that cost much more. The second choice is the 1-½” deep X 1 ½” wide midi bars. In these you get extra width without having to spend too much. The bullies are the super heavy duty stretcher bars that are 1 ½” deep but 2″ wide. These are for use when you have a canvas that’s very large and that needs a foundation of exceptional value.

The medium/heavy duty stretcher bars offer the buyer a generous side profile without costing ‘an arm and a leg’. These bars are not as thick as the 1 ½” ones and so it’s quite likely that these will need reinforcing subsequently with braces. The heavy duty stretcher bar will give you excellent smooth stretching that causes lower resistance ensuring that the canvas lasts for a lifetime. The overall weight is also lower. But it’s advisable to use braces when the length exceeds 45″ in order to prevent bending. The super heavy-duty bars are very impressive in terms of strength and mass. You’ll get the sturdiest bars in return for your money. The value of art and the tendency of bars to bend increase with time in case the right selection has not been made in the beginning.

Caught in the Act $14.99 Styx was one of the titans of the hugely popular AOR movement — along with Boston, Foreigner, Journey, and REO Speedwagon — embraced by the U.S. mainstream in the late ’70s and early ’80s. The end of the Chicago-based band’s peak period coincided with one of the most ambitious and notorious projects of the time, the 1983 concept album Kilroy Was Here. Since leaving Lone Justice in 1988, she has consistently frustrated her fans’ expectations, not only for her infrequent recordings, but also for her restless muse that has taken her from pop (Maria McKee) to roots Americana and R&B (You Gotta Sin to Get Saved), squalling art rock (Life Is Sweet) and textured neo- psychedelia (High Dive). McKee wrote or co-wrote nine of the album’s 12 tracks. Using folk, country and rock backdrops, McKee’s songs offer stories of the broken, the lost, the wider-eyed and the hopeless. There’s the confessional longing of the protagonist in “Season of the Fair” where memory, evoked by emptiness and rejection, wraps itself in the warm embrace of strummed, unplugged six-strings and lets itself fall framed by an organ, a lone electric guitar punching through the refrain, and the singer’s voice, trying hard to hold what is not only fleeting but weighted in unrelenting pain. The loose, slippery country-rock of “Sullen Sou,” alternates between the balance of guitars and just behind the beat drums as the singer lets the depth of her emotion flow in images from her mouth like raw honey.
